Writing a signage system today takes a fraction of the time it took ten years ago. Charging you every month, for every screen, for software that runs entirely on hardware you already own — we could not explain that to a customer with a straight face.
Someone who answers when a screen in your lobby goes black on a Friday afternoon. Someone who knows why a BrightSign boots to a blank card. That is scarce, and that is what we charge for.
Your screens never go dark because an invoice is open, a card expired or a provider changed its pricing. There is no licence server to phone home to — because there is no licence.
No cloud means no data processing agreement, no transfer to a third country, no provider to audit. The Swiss DSG and the GDPR get very short when nothing leaves the premises.
There is no server to provision, no database to maintain, no container to orchestrate. It is a Windows program.
It may be the machine on your desk. It holds your media, builds the schedules and serves the screens. A small fanless PC is plenty.
A BrightSign player takes a prepared SD card — no BrightAuthor, no BSN.cloud account. A Windows display runs the free ISS+ Player and announces itself on the network. An ordinary TV needs nothing at all.
Drag zones on the surface, drop in videos, images, PDFs, a clock, a news ticker, an RSS feed or a web page. Open it from any computer on the network — the interface is a website.
Entries are dates, not just weekdays. Distribution happens by itself after every change. Content lives on the player, so a network outage never stops playback.

Every feature below is in the free download. There is no “Pro”, no add-on licence and no screen limit.
Split a screen into as many areas as you like. Ten ready-made divisions to start from, then drag them where you want.
Video, images, PDF documents, text, scrolling tickers, four clock faces, RSS feeds, live streams (RTSP, HLS) and web pages.
Many sites block being framed. ISS+ renders them on the server and sends the screen a picture — including scrolling through a long page.
A normal television is driven over the network by DLNA and switched on and off from the calendar. No stick, no player box, no signage panel.
A factory LS445 has no open port. ISS+ takes it into service with a self-written SD card — no cloud account anywhere in the chain.
Appointments on real dates, weekly rules, a fallback layout for the gaps, and an override for when something matters right now.
Administration, editorial and read-only. A branch office can maintain its own content without being able to touch the devices.
One click measures the whole chain — network, reachability, renderer, a real delivery — and writes plain text you can paste into an e-mail.

No retainer, no minimum term, no seat count. If you never call us, you never pay us.
Prices exclude VAT. Remote access runs over our server, which is why it is the one recurring item — it costs us something every month.
If ISS+ cannot do what you need, that is a gap in the product, not a reason to sell you a bigger plan. Describe it, we quote the work, and once it is built it ships in the next version — for every user.
A fixed quote for the development, not a per-screen surcharge afterwards. What you paid to have built stays free to use.
Your add-on becomes part of ISS+. That sounds generous — it is also why the next customer’s request is cheaper than yours was.
Not every request belongs in a product used by others. When that is the case we say so, and suggest what would fit instead.
You would find this out in week two anyway. Better you read it here and decide now.
Displays run on Windows, on a BrightSign, on an LG signage panel, or as a plain TV. The cheapest hardware class is not covered.
There is no report of what played, when and where. For advertising space that is usually mandatory; for internal information it rarely is.
No native Google Slides, Power BI or Canva connectors. A dashboard can be shown today by rendering the page as an image, which covers a good part of it.
Sync is measured in the schedule, in the crop and in a real browser — but not yet observed for weeks on a real wall. We would not put it in a tender.
The package, the route and the interface are built and measured. Whether a real panel accepts it has not been confirmed on a device.
Since Tizen 7.0 Samsung requires a partner certificate to install an app. That is a paperwork problem, not a development one.
The interface works in a phone browser, but there is nothing in an app store.
If your contract needs 24/7 follow-the-sun support with a guaranteed response time at three in the morning, we are the wrong supplier. Say so early and we will tell you straight.
This page has no cookie banner because it sets no cookies. It loads nothing from anyone else — not a font, not a script, not a pixel.
Your media, layouts and schedules live on your server and your screens. There is no provider in the middle, so there is nothing to agree with one about.
Access is protected by a password (scrypt hash, signed session cookie) with three roles. Local HTTPS can be switched on with a certificate generated on the machine itself.
The connection is made outward from your network — no port is opened, no firewall rule is changed. Switch it off and the path is gone.
No tracking, no analytics, no external fonts, no embedded video. The server sends HSTS, a strict content security policy and a referrer policy. Nothing about you is stored.
Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit. The installer already contains the ISS+ Player — your displays update themselves from your own server.

The download is served from our own update server over TLS. Compare the checksum if you want to be sure — the installer is not code-signed yet, so Windows SmartScreen will warn you on first run. We would rather tell you that here than have you discover it.
Yes, and there is no catch in the software. Server, players, every feature, all updates, any number of screens, commercial use included. There is no licence key and no screen counter.
We earn money when you want help: support by the hour, remote access by the month, and custom development when something is missing.
No. It is free of charge and free of accounts, but the source code is not published. If that is a requirement for you, Xibo is the honest recommendation.
They keep playing. Everything runs on your hardware, content sits on the players, and nothing phones home for permission. What you would lose is new versions and us — not your installation.
Only to download the installer, and later for RSS feeds or web pages if you use them. The system itself runs on your local network, and the screens keep playing if the line goes down.
For the server, any Windows 10/11 PC — a small fanless machine is plenty. For the screens: BrightSign LS445 players, any Windows mini-PC running ISS+ Player, an LG webOS signage panel, or an ordinary TV with DLNA and nothing in front of it.
There is no built-in limit. The practical ceiling is the network and the server: content is pushed to the players, so a dozen screens on a 100 Mbit line is comfortable. A live stream to a TV is the expensive case — budget roughly one CPU core per TV stream.
That is the idea. Download it, install it, run it. No form, no e-mail address, no sales call. If you get stuck, then write to us.
Yes, in Switzerland, billed by the hour plus travel. For everywhere else we do it remotely, which needs remote access switched on.
Install it, put something on a screen, and see whether it does what you need. If it does, you owe us nothing. If it almost does, tell us what is missing.
